LAYLAH FAYKER

Dr Laylah Fayker is a compassionate general practitioner and founder of Cape Town Med, with a special interest in women’s health and mental well-being. She grew up in the Eastern Cape and studied medicine at Stellenbosch University, completing her internship at New Somerset Hospital and her community service in Gauteng clinics – an experience that deepened her passion for accessible, patient-centred primary healthcare.

In 2022, she opened her first practice in Cape Town’s CBD, later expanding to Sea Point in 2024 to meet growing patient demand. At Cape Town Med, Dr Laylah leads a team committed to holistic, evidence-based care in a warm and inclusive environment. She believes in empowering patients through education, open dialogue, and personalised treatment that addresses physical, mental, and emotional health.
